...He Will Direct Your Paths
August 2021 COVID and TRAVEL UPDATE:
The Israeli travel industry experienced a record-breaking year
in 2019. An astounding 4.55 million tourists flocked to the Holy
Land to experience some of the world’s most important sites.
The tourism industry was equally optimistic about projections for
2020. However the coronavirus brought international travel to a
halt. While travel to Israel has not yet resumed, the nation
leads the world with their Covid vaccination program. 56% of
Israelis have been fully vaccinated. Other factors like the Delta
variant, international air travel restrictions, and Covid cases in
the US remain to be seen, but we hope to see travel by U.S. citizens to Israel resumed in the next few months. Several test tour groups have been there and returned with positive reports about the groups and protocols currently in place. Questions remain and the protocols going forward have not yet been determined. We will keep our passengers updated here on further developments. Our trip is set for next year - June 15-25, 2022.
Before CV-19 people sometimes asked me if it was safe to travel in Israel. A leading tour host and personal friend, John DeLancey said this; "...traveling in Israel is safe... Ultra Orthodox Jews walk daily through the Damascus Gate and the heart of the Muslim Quarter of the Old City without safety concern. Pre-Covid, during any given week Imagine Tours & Travel had groups touring Israel, each...returning home with glowing reports of a safe, fear-free environment. In Israel we encounter kind and friendly Arab and Jewish Israelis alike. For example, our bus drivers are usually Arabs, while our guides are Jewish. To see driver and guide get along well is indicative of normal life in Israel.....
Most importantly, God is in control and His sovereign hand rests upon us whether we are here in the States or somewhere in Israel. Entrusting every tour in God’s hands leads to a life-transforming experience for all!"
I first visited Israel and Jordan 33 years ago. Israel had signed a peace treaty with Egypt in 1974. They signed one with Jordan 20 years later (1994). Just last year during the Trump Administration, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan have established peaceful relations with Israel! That is historic and real! If it were not safe to travel in Israel, I would not take the most precious people in my life there.

Psalm 122:6 instructs us to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem." I pray for that daily. - David
